Fire Cylinders
Light a cylinder on fire. Watch as it burns down but just before it gets to the bottom, it suddenly lifts into the air and drops back down as a piece of ash.
This is a great illustration for teaching how to trust when you don’t know what to expect or don’t have all the answers. It is also a great way to tell the story of Elijah being taking up to Heaven.
